With PRINCE2 2009 launching in June 2009, FGI helps to answers some of your questions

The PRINCE2 manual is in the process of being refreshed. The new edition is due to be launched on 16th June 2009 and FGI will be running accredited courses on the new edition from July onwards.

The official examination body for PRINCE2 - the APMG - have advised that candidates do not delay their training. The refresh of the manual updates and makes minor improvements to the method but is not a major rewrite. Qualifications taken on the earlier edition of the method will remain valid until candidates need to re-register.

Investment in PRINCE2 will not be lost as the principles detailed in the 2005 edition remain valid: it remains the defacto methodology for the successful management of projects.

All course and exam names will remain the same.
