ITIL® Consultancy Outline

Whilst a health check assists in measuring the effectiveness and compliance of your Service Management Organisation, this service is aimed at resolving specific problems in any ITIL® Service Management Processes. FGI Consultants can help in a number of ways that are described below. Any or all of these methods may be employed.

Before starting work FGI will meet with you to discuss and agree your requirements including:

  • A detailed description of the problem
  • A detailed specification of the outcomes and deliverables required
  • The approach taken in terms of the methods used
  • Availability of staff and access to them
  • Timescales and delivery dates
  • The content and format of the report

Process Inspection

Your ITIL® process may be in place and compliant to the concepts embodied in the ITIL® guides, but still not working effectively. FGI will observe process evaluating behaviours and communications. We will also inspect and analyse procedures and documentation.

Gap Analysis

FGI will evaluate the gap in process, resource, procedure and information between the existing situation and the desired situation. The evaluation will be objective and focused towards the desired outcomes. We will advise actions if required.

Mentoring

Many organisations wish to embark on implementing ITIL® processes themselves but need some expert guidance and control. FGI can supply that in a number of ways that are cost effective to your company.

We are also extremely aware, from experience, that handover of processes can be ineffective if rushed or done too formally. Our mentoring approach provides a gradual and smooth handover.
